Hiking with Logan Newcomers Club:Last Sunday I joined the Logan Newcomers Club on a hike to the wind caves. On our way up, the sun came over the mountain to warm our faces and inspire us as it transformed the leaves into a display of vivid fall colors. Cache Valley is such a beautiful place. (Caroline)
Restaurants
- Indian Oven - Starting out in the gas station on 10th north, they are now in the heart of downtown (130 N Main) and their food is as incredible as ever!
- Kevin's review: I love Indian Oven for a variety of reasons: it is a locally-owned business, they treat their employees well, they use many locally-grown foods, and they offer a variety of delicious foods that are low on the food chain (lots of rice and vegetable dishes).
- My favorite dish is the chicken coconut kurma
- Tandoori Oven - The original owners of the Indian Oven have moved back to the Sinclair gas station on 10th N and 700 E to reopen as Tandoori Oven. The restaurant has been remodeled and has a separate entrance from the gas station. The food is delicious! They have reasonable lunch specials.
- Crumb Brothers bread. Real artisan bread and pastries! The bread is available at several stores, or from the bakery itself (300 S and 300 W)
- Le Nonne - 129 N. 100 E., Logan, UT, (435) 752-9577, one of the best local italian restaurants in Cache Valley.
- Kamin - 51 West 200 South, Logan, UT, (435) 755-6543, enjoy Thai food at its best.
- Happy Sushi, 20 W 400 N, Logan, UT 84321, (435) 752-1467, a USU sushi favorite.
- Takara Sushi, 55 W 1000 N, Logan, UT 84321, (435) 752-1677, a True Aggie sushi favorite!

- Cache Valley Gardener's Market. You can't get more local unless it is growing in your own back yard! Locally grown fruits and vegetables from the Northern Utah area as well as hand- and home-made crafts from local artisans and entreprenuers. There is often live folk music and informative demonstrations. Open every Saturday morning from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm from May (Mother's Day weekend) until the beginning of October. Located at Merlin Olsen Park, 100 S. 200 E.
- Rockhill Creamery makes artisan cheeses with the help of their five Brown Swiss cows. "We use natural, sustainable practices on our farm and believe that our animals deserve more than just humane treatment, they deserve our respect." Their excellent cheeses can be bought at several locations locally (including Crumb Brothers, Gardener's Market, and Sweet Peas market), or you can order online. You can also visit the farm on Saturdays May to October at 563 S. State St. in Richmond.
